Below is a very short video highlighting aspects of the course.
- The course provides young people with real tangibles and gives them the toolbox to build resilience in their lives. This year, the young people became entrepreneurs, by starting their own businesses to sell refurbished trainers. Their pop-up stall features at the famous Spitalfields Market on a monthly basis.
We made a documentary of our recent cohort, parents were invited to share in their children's success. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Their parents are used to getting negative phone calls about their children, but seeing them achieve, has brought them closer.
We use art therapy extensively to support young people to express themselves and help them to showcase their work to build connections with the community and to help dispel the negative image the community often has of young people leaving care.
